Emily - Freelance Multimedia Journalist
I'm Emily, a London-based multimedia journalist with a particular interest in arts, culture, lifestyle and human-interest reporting.
Recently completed a Master's degree in Broadcast Journlism at City St George's, I have experience producing stories across television, radio and digital platforms, with skills in interviewing, pitching, media law and video/audio editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition.
I’m currently looking for opportunities in broadcast and digital journalism and am available to start now.
Hear Hear: The Silent Cost of Service
To mark the end of my studies, I shot, produced and edited a short documentary about veteran's hearing loss. My film explores the effects of noise induced hearing loss on ex-service men and women who continue to live with its consequences long after their service ha a topic close to my heart as a forces child.

Radio Experience
I produce original radio packages covering social and cultural issues including sexual offence rates on the Underground to London's thriving opera scene. My work combines clear scripting, strong audio storytelling, and on-the-ground reporting to make complex topics engaging and accessible for listeners, all edited on Adobe Audition.
My audio experience includes writing and producing short news bulletins, covering breaking stories, pre-packaged reports, and delivering live in-studio two-ways. I’m confident scripting for clarity and pace, as well as adapting tone for different formats and audiences as displayed in my radio showreel below.
TV Experience
I produce original, London-focused television news packages that explore community-driven stories. My reporting highlights underrepresented voices and examines how national issues play out at a grassroots level across the capital.
I film, script, and edit my own packages, using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro to produce clear, engaging broadcast content.
I also led my broadcast group at university one week as TV editor, wearing pink striped pyjamas to boost morale for our Christmas special (photos avaliable upon request).
Social Video Experience
My social video work focuses on turning cultural moments and online trends into keyholes for wider, story-led journalism. Whether that's cabbages, matcha, or non-green, non-consumable things too, I combine expert-led research with engaging storytelling to create high-retention edits for platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
Digital Content Design
Using Adobe Photoshop, I create thumbnails that capture attention and drive audience engagement.
Newsroom Experience
BFBS - August 2026
As a website news reporter for BFBS Forces News, I wrote clear, engaging copy about issues affecting the UK Armed Forces and wider military community. Covering ceremonial milestones, defence treaties and even an elite wheelbarrow squadron (if you don't know about The Red Barrows you are seriously missing out), I conducted research and interviews and turned specialist stories into accessible digital journalism.
Radio Times - April 2026
I spent seven days at Immediate, gaining hands-on experience across digital and print publishing. Here I supported content development through rewriting press materials, proofreading, and contributing to social and web content, while collaborating with editorial teams.
